PADI FULL FACE MASK

Working divers, such as public safety divers, use full face masks because they protect the eyes and nose from contaminants in the water, provide comfort in cold water, and allow for communication. If you're interested public safety diving, scientific diving, or venturing into extremely cold-water, then learning to dive with a full face mask is definitely for you. Because full face masks allow you to breathe from your nose, they are also beneficial for those who have difficulty using standard scuba masks. Diving with a full face mask offers a different experience and that alone may be reason to give it a try.

The PADI Full Face Mask class prepares you to dive with a full face mask. The course covers basic safety, technical and practical knowledge necessary to be a competent full face mask diver and feel comfortable using your system. You will participate in an academic session to learn the features of full face masks, gain familiarity with the system in confined water  and finish by demonstrating skills in the open water to gain your full face mask certification specialty card.

• Learn the advantages and challenges specific to using a full face mask while diving.
• Discover features to take into consideration when thinking about purchasing your own mask.
• Learn about Equalization.

• Pioper Fitting and Donning of a Full Face Mask.

Practical Training:

• Confined Water  Session where you will learn how to operate full face mask
• Two Training Dives where you will get comfortable diving with a Full Face mask and Demonstrate:
  • Properly prepare and check your mask for the dive.
  • Make adjustments underwater and clear water out of the mask.
  • Respond to simulated out-of-gas emergency situations.

Gear You Will Need For Class:

• Basic Scuba Kit (BCD, Regulator, Dive Computer, Wetsuit)
  
• 2 Air Tanks
  
• Full Face Mask.
