Holiday Break Scuba Lessons!

Make the most of your holiday break with our special Open Water Scuba Lessons class offered between Christmas and New Year’s.

Designed for college students home for the holidays, high schoolers, and families looking for a fun and adventurous experience together.

Dates: Saturday, December 27th – Tuesday, December 30th

Student Requirements:
- Students must be at least 14 years old,  and  complete a PADI Medical Release to participate.

🧭 How It Works

Step 1: Complete the PADI Medical Release

All participants must complete a PADI Medical Release Form.
If you answer “Yes” to any medical questions, a Physician’s Release is required.
Once you register, we’ll email your electronic waiver to complete online.


Step 2: PADI eLearning – Start Anytime!

Learn the basics of scuba diving at your own pace — right from home!
You’ll explore scuba equipment, underwater environments, and diving science through the PADI eLearning platform.
All you need is internet access.


Step 3: Gear Familiarization Class

📍 Saturday, December 27th | 10:00 – 11:30 AM
Get comfortable with your scuba gear before you hit the water!
You’ll be fitted for equipment, and learn how to assemble, disassemble, and care for everything you’ll use during your dives.


Step 4: Confined Water (Pool) Dives

📍 Saturday, December 27th | 12:30 – 5:00 PM
📍 Sunday, December 28th | 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
This is where you learn to dive!
In a safe, controlled pool environment, you’ll practice essential scuba skills and gain confidence underwater with your instructor’s guidance.


Step 5: Open Water Checkout Dives

Your final step to becoming a certified PADI Open Water Diver!
Complete four open water dives over two days — putting your new skills to work in real diving conditions.

Choose the checkout dive option that fits your schedule:

  • Option 1: Local Certification DivesDec 29–30 | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Fantasy Lake Scuba Park

  • Option 2: Florida Springs TripJan 24–26 (details available online)

  • Option 3: Referral Option – Complete your dives at any PADI Dive Shop while on vacation (additional fees may apply)

1. Do I Need My Own Mask/Fins/Snorkel Set?
Yes! Every student must have their own personal gear that fits properly.
We sell this equipment, provide custom fittings, and offer special student pricing.

2. Do I Need to Know How to Swim?
Yes, swimming ability is required. You must pass a swim test:

  • Surface swim: 200 yards continuously, or 300 yards with mask, fins, and snorkel

  • 10-minute swim/float without swim aids

If you’re concerned about passing, we recommend practicing or taking swim lessons before registering for Scuba Lessons.

3. Are There Age Restrictions?
Yes. Participants must be at least 14 years old by the first day of Holiday Scuba Camp.
